The Off-Shoulder

I'm here to tell you girls that the Off-Shoulder trend is here to stay!! The trend that was seen on the runways in the 2013 Spring Fashion Week has managed to find its place in our closets. I think off-shoulders are here to make the strapless trend obsolete. What I love about this trend is its versatility and its beauty that makes you look sexy without showing much skin. Anything from a simple off-shoulder crop top paired with simple black pants or a beautiful off-shoulder gown can do the trick for you and make you the "it-girl" of your group.

A little trick to style your off-shoulder pieces is to not go over-board and wear minimalistic jewellery keeping focus on the shoulders. If you still do not have an Off-shoulder piece in your closet I think its time you head to the mall. Here are some pictures to help give you an idea and give you an understanding of what you should be looking for.

1. The Beach Look

Buy a cute crochet or printed crop top and pair it with my favourite shorts and you're ready to head to the beach.

2. The Lunch Date Look

For your next lunch date you can get a pretty off-shoulder dress, style it with a ponytail giving it a more feminine look and with ballet flats or heels.

3. The Casual Look

Buy a Simple or Ruffled off-shoulder top and pair it with ripped jeans and sneakers.

4. The Formal Look

Pair your top with formal flared pants or you can also pair it with a midi skirt to give it a formal look. This look is perfect for a night out.

5. The Quirky Look

I love wearing Sets they are so fun and quirky. Get your style game strong by wearing a super cute printed crop top and shorts for your next girls day out. If you're looking for something to wear in the night go for an elegant dark colour top and midi skirt.

6. Wedding Ready

This look is perfect for a Wedding Reception or Prom, it gives a sensual and an oomph factor to your gown without going overboard.

You could try many other looks like stitching an off-shoulder blouse for your sari or wearing a off-shoulder jumpsuit paired with funky sneakers.

Lately, everything pretty and eye-catching has been turquoise, it may even be my new favorite color! 
Feeling adventurous? Wear this outfit to the beach and couple it with a simple pair of slippers, like i did!

I accessorized this outfit with a pastel bag from Aldo and my two favorite rings from Spyra! Brunch or not, these accesories can be paired with several other outfits.

The Pear Body Shape

I'm back with my next post of body shapes.The Pear. The Pear body shape is the most common female body shape. Grab a mirror and take a look: If your hips and backside are wider than your shoulders, you're the lucky owner of a pear-shaped body. The aim to look your best is to disguise the hip area and give more attention to the upper body.







Here are some few tips to dress your Pear body shape-
1. Detailed tops (such as printed tops) and accessories that give more attention to your upper body.
2. Lighter colored tops and dark colored skirts or trousers.
3. Jackets and Blouses that are structured and define the torso area.
4. Avoid tight skirts and trousers as they tend to make the hip area look wide.
5. A line skirts and loose trousers (like seen in the pictures) work the best. A line skirts are basically fitted at the hips and gradually widen
To give you guys a better idea of what to wear for this particular body shape, I played dress up with my friend Janki. She is wearing a pink top with a gold necklace which attracts attention to her upper body and black flair trousers to disguise the hip area.

Just Another Day...

According to me, the accessories you wear with your outfit plays a major role for your entire look. You could wear something very simple but look chic and different with the wat you accessorize. I think it is also important to know how much to accessorize, too much could always be a disaster!

In this post I'm wearing something very casual, its something I would wear to university or the mall! I'm wearing a simple electic blue crop top which has become one of my favorite colors recently and I've paired it with my new pants from New Look which I love. Since my outfit is so simple, I accessorized a little more. I wore a bunch of delicate pearl bracelets and a neon orange necklace with my Steve Madden sandals. The outfit is really comfortable and I think it defines my style statement which is simple but different!

Hello, 2014! (:

After a long break its my first post of the year and I'm excited to be back to the blogging world. My New Year's resolution is going to be to blog more and not take such huge breaks and hopefully I will complete my new year's resolution this time.

 In December, I started looking for my New Year's dress I wanted something elegant and chic and wanted  to look my best. I've always been a fan of dresses which have a tutu look to them then straight dresses, I think they are so feminine and stunning. So, when I saw this dress from Forever 21 I knew immediately it was what I'm going to wear for New Year's, it was just what i wanted. I've accesorised a little differently now with funky rings from Spyra, my River Island Heels and a traditional looking indian clutch.

Yay! It's Winter.

It gives me great pleasure in saying that winter has finally started after all the heat. I absolutely love the winters but in Dubai the winters aren't that cold so you don't really need layers of clothes. Honestly I could even roam around with just my t-shirt and shorts. I really hope that this time it gets like super cold which is almost impossible. 

In this post, I'm wearing a lace crop top with my high waisted pants and a striped sweater from HandM and I'm wearing my Charlotte Russe boots which are super hard to walk in and its the first time I've actually worn them. I'm carrying my super cute Moschino bag which I absolutely love!
