Basics

Stripes have been a major part of this season's runway- whether thin or thick, horizontal or vertical, they seem to be everywhere. Major designers like Oscar de la Renta, Michael Kors, Moschino and many more worked with stripes this season. When it comes to stripes, it's essential to make sure they don't clash with the rest of your outfit, and make sure you wear them according to the effect you want to achieve. For example, if you want to look slimmer and taller, vertical stripes are the way to go.

My take on the whole stripes trend is to keep it simple but stylish. For my look I decided to pair a basic striped tank with neon pants. With summer coming in, I just wanted something casual to wear to university and this was perfect!

Lace!

Lace has been a dress enhancing fabric throughout the world. A piece of lace has intricate work with holes which form a pattern or motif that is repeated along the entire lace material. Despite it being out of fashion lately, my adoration for it remains unaltered. In my opinion, having a lace dress is an essential basic for my wardrobe.

One of the biggest problems a woman encounters, is repeating clothes. But this still didn't stop me from wearing this dress on multiple occasions, as it's one of my favorites. I decided to accessorize a little differently, in order to add a touch of variety and style!

Bows and Bling!

As the title suggests, I'm a HUGE fan of bows and anything bling-y ( if that is even a word  )
Bling is always fun. It adds zest and so much life to any outfit.
Adding a little bling to your clothes, through your accessories or shoes, could take a casual day look to a perfect ensemble for a night out. For instance, when I have an event to go to and I feel like what I've thrown on just isn't it, I inevitably turn to my sequinned black heels. They add a perfect amount of va-va-voom to my get-up without it looking over the top or even bordering being tacky.

Another accessory I absolutely adore are bows. They make me really happy. So, naturally when I saw these beautiful, crystals studded bow earrings at Miss Selfridge, I picked them up without a moment's hesitation.
I love adding a splash of colour to any outfit. If you ever took a peak into my wardrobe, you'd see it's so chromatic. You'll very rarely find me in dull colours.

I strongly believe that everyone has their own sense of style. It's very important that you feel comfortable in anything you wear. Only then can you truly feel ravishing.

As for me, I'd say my style is elegant, feminine and very very cheerful!

A Touch of Panache

After a good weekend, Saturday morning always depresses me a little, especially with Sunday looming over it. So my preferred solution to rid me of all boredom, is - dressing up ! I'm sure anyone with a love for clothes can relate to that.

So, this Saturday I decided to combine it with my other most favorite activity, shopping (despite the fact that my mom now thinks I own more clothes than the whole family combined). I absolutely adore dresses and found a gorgeous printed maxi I'd bought about a year ago from Miss Selfridge. Prints are always fun and are something that you can carry off on any occasion.  I thought this eye catching, cheerful, full length maxi  was perfect for a little trip out to the mall. To add a little more oomph to my look, I accessorized with chunky bangles and a ring.

A little tip - if you're looking for something comfortable yet stunning, a maxi's the perfect choice. Especially, for a weekend brunch or a casual event.
